Cost for all this $7.91 including tax.
I know you're getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas is looming large around the corner but NOW is the best time to get ready for next year. There are two ways to get seasonal items at rock bottom prices
1. take advantage of loss leader promotions in which stores deeply discount attractive items to lure you into to spend more (especially effective when combined w/ coupons).
2. Shop clearance off season.
Joann's pulled out the Halloween stuff on a little cart at 90% off original price - I got everything here for $7.06 before tax. Original retail was $70.60. Now even when you're shopping for other holidays $7 shouldn't break your budget.
I'm well on my way to putting together a couple of excellent Boo! packages to surprise our neighbors with next October. Be on the lookout for these kinds of great deals - stores have a tendency to pull out clearance racks on the weekends or long holidays. I have found great Christmas and Halloween clearance in the middle of summer.
Cost for all this $5.60 total after Rebates ($3.86 spent on giftcard)
I save 96% at Walgreen's after easy saver rebates.

I found some Halloween mark downs too -- $.25 for headbands, $.25 for goody bags, $.10 for candy dishes, and a $1.00 strobe flashlight for a certain grandson next Halloween (well, maybe Dad will play with it).
You have to watch those clearance bins. I came up with a "Name a Star" teddy bear that had been $20 for $8 on clearance I'm saving for a first birthday present for grandson #2. First BD presents are really for Mom and she'll be thrilled to name a star for our sweet little guy!
Also viligent dicity!
