Also had trouble using GM cereal

I tried the GM, had 14 in basket so maybe over did it. I was only able to get two. Guest Service woman said I could only get one but would allow two. Coupon isn't specific and says one per transaction. Will go again if only to print off their coupons and will continue to slide one in on my frequently occurring trips there.

It seems like a lot of people are having problems with GM/Cereal coupons. I don’t think I will try this as tempting as it looks.

I think the “spirit” of the coupon was $1 off the boxed cereals. It really doesn’t make sense for Target to give $1 off on an item that virtually cost $1.

A lot of times you can get an item for free ONLY when there is a Target coupon and a Manufactures Coupon. But rarely can you get an item for free with only a Store coupon.

I was not allowed to use the General Mills Target coupon on the cereal cups. Cashier said it was because it had a picture of a box on it so it needed to be used on a box. I pointed out that the coupon was not size specific. She even had a GSTL (guest services team lead) look at it and after reading the entire coupon, put it back down on the counter, said, "no, it has to be on a box of cereal since that is what's pictured" and walked away. I had the cashier deduct it from my bill. But, she did let me use the Shout coupon even though our travel size was only $0.97. She did only take off $0.97, which was fine by me.
